Mary M. McDonnell
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mary M. McDonnell is President and Chief Executive
Officer of Geneva Trading, USA, LLC. A 25-year veteran of
the futures industry, Ms. McDonnell is one of the pioneers
in electronic trading and trading platforms.
Prior to joining Geneva in April 2003, she served
as Senior Vice President at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT),
responsible for all electronic trading. She joined the CBOT
in May of 2000 as Project Manager and Managing Director of
a/c/e the CBOT's electronic alliance with Eurex. Ms. McDonnell
spearheaded the selection process and implementation of the
CBOT's electronic migration to a/c/e.
Prior to the CBOT, McDonnell was the Executive
Vice President of the Bermuda Commodities Exchange (BCOE)
from 1997 through 1999. Her responsibilities at the BCOE included
the development, implementation and operations of the first
internet-based electronic futures exchange.
From 1979 through 1996, McDonnell served as
Chief Financial and Operating Officer of Griffin Trading,
a global futures clearing firm, as well as President of Griffin
Asset Management International Ltd, an asset allocation firm
in the futures industry.
Ms. McDonnell earned a Masters degree in management
from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern
University and her Bachelors of Science in Accounting from
Marquette University.
Ms. McDonnell is a member of the Executive Club
and Chicago Finance Exchange. She serves on the Board of Drummond
Montessori School and on the Finance Council of St. Clement
Church.
